A Change

A bit back in blogged about people and how they change... Today I wish to address the common question "why do people have to change into something bad?"

In short the answer is: because they make bad choices and they are then to proud to correct themselves. The sad thing is they will seek gratification and approval through other sources which will help them feel good. This will last for a short period of time until they either suffer from a consequence or end up in a gutter to finally realize they need help...

My Bad

Ok so I haven't blogged for like forever – yeah I know slack but I have been busy with uni and getting back on track and that for some reason gives me writers block haha - I'm sure it won't be long and I be back on track

So I'm back at uni slowly regaining my sense of routine and have been recently assigned to a random group (usually with my mates) so apart from my mate Bala this will be an interesting semester as they aren't the strongest in English - thankfully I'm the leader so I'm in control but we will see how it goes....

Woo 5 days till Christmas :) should be good fun seeing family, eating Christmas food and enjoying holidays (the very little have)

A Year Almost Complete

So today I started back at Uni with a free Boost Juice!!! What a great way to start a semester! At Uni today we covered Week 1 – meaning tomorrow will be week 2!! I had my first test today and i will be having another.. tomorrow… this just gives you an idea of what fast tracked really means!

Anywho…

Its not long now till this year will be complete… it will be a year which was full of many things – which will remain unsaid until the time is right to blog (closer to the end of the year). I know this year has been a year of tomorrow, a year in which started with the unexpected and opportunities to only end up as a routine and reality and the beginning of a future.

So that was a quick blog!

The Memory Progression

Ok yes I know I have been a bit slack in terms of blogging but I have been on holidays… they are short so I have been making the most of them to do nothing, chill and relax!!! Once I am back at Uni this will be a lot more constant.

What I want to talk about tonight is the factors, the progression and the power of memory! How memories seem to haunt us like a shadow with a mind of its own, they seem to be triggered by the relativity of the smallest details and they always seem to be present when most unexpected – this is usually due the association of something smaller which is connected to a much larger context.

Usually memory becomes triggered by association – this in most cases can be music, routine, dates, weather or even people. I know for me it is music, routine or time. When these occur i relive the memory in seconds!!!

You will be amazed at what triggers memories (how small something can be) – but also how it effects your emotions and your thoughts. Memories can be happy things, sad things or anything you have experienced in the past.

This is quite a deep topic and i feel i haven't even touched on it!
I kinda have just gone blank but I will reblog more when i remember!!!

Friends

In today's society - what we perceive as friends is rather different to the traditional or more so the generic definition of a friend.

friend - a person you know well and regard with affection and trust

However today's more common definition is as simple as:

friend - a person with whom you are acquainted
friend - an associate who provides cooperation or assistance

See the difference? Let me explain it for you.
If you were to ask a group of people what is a friend to them you would be given a collection of answers… that's because we all have a different idea of what a friend is. It's common at schools today to have hundreds of friends through the association of another or simply because you have met before.

Other friends maybe ones you hang with at school or the ones who tell u what to do or what is cool. These friends are more acquaintances who you do school with and chill at lunch time. They might tell you what to do, they may set the level of cool they may also just be like u or me. But do they know you personally or just as the everyday school kid you show them?

A real friend is someone who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. Someone who is loyal, trustworthy and honest with you in integrity, friendship and companionship. They won't sugar coat the truth but rather be honest with constructive criticism, they would never push Your boundaries or tempt you to be something else.

This is very brief – yet it gets to the point…
