Yesterday I mentioned the subjects I will be taking over Semester 1, i have now also included Summer Semester. I had a question concerning what these subject actually consist of so i will be providing some outlines of what they are. (Brief Outlines)

HIT3407 - INFORMATION SYSTEMS PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Demonstrate knowledge of project management terms and techniques, tools and techniques such as project selection methods, Work breakdown structures, Network diagrams, Critical path analysis and Earned Value analysis, applied in the context of IS development and IS acquisition. The importance of project management to improving the success of IS projects.
HIT3409 - PROCESS MODELLING
Defining and describing the concepts of business processes, business process values, business process improvements, business process reengineering and workflows (very brief)
HIT3413 - BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE
Covers the notion of information value, classifying types and sources of value, and explaining the types of processing that can add value to corporate data sources. The nature and role of business intelligence in contributing to the delivery of business value and competitive in modern organisations. Identify the potential benefits, risks, and range of organisational and managerial issues associated with a successful implementation of a business intelligence system.

HIT3412 - BUSINESS INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYSIS
Covers the contribution of business information systems analysis as an aid to organisational problem solving. the notion that information systems analysis, development and acquisition all occur within complex, turbulent, uncertain and interconnected organisational contexts, and the implications of this to the practice of business information systems analysis.
HIT3410 - SYSTEMS ACQUISITION & IMPLEMENTATION MANAGEMENT
Covers the knowledge of the issues and options available to providing organisational IT services. Evaluates the pros and cons of differing approaches to acquiring systems, and demonstrate an ability to match particular approaches to particular organisational contexts. Discuss the issues associated with package selection, including requirements specification, selection criteria, vendor due diligence, and apply tools and techniques to business cases. Explain the major issues and human concerns in IS-related organisational transformation, identify causes of human resistance to change.
HIT2411 - BUSINESS DATA COMMUNICATION AND NETWORKS
This unit is designed to offers a multidisciplinary inquiry into the technology, business, economics, and public-policy of computer networks and distributed applications. It will introduce students to the foundations of computer networks, including: Internet architecture, network technologies and protocols (e.g., 802.*, TCP/IP, HTTP), some routing algorithms and policies, network applications (e.g., p2p overlays, VoIP, viral networks), emerging network technologies, and network security. Tightly integrated will be coverage on the business, and policy of networking, including: economic characteristics of networks, network industry structure and ISP competition, wireless spectrum auction, network neutrality, and incentive-centered design of networks and applications.
HBN200N - NEW VENTURE DEVELOPMENT
This unit provides an introduction to the skills necessary to commercialise new technology and to commence a new business operation. It will give the student a framework for generating, evaluating, and implementing new business opportunities. It will achieve this by looking at the practical problems and issues of resource acquisition, market development of new start businesses and the key challenges facing entrepreneurs into the 21st century. It will be global in coverage but also seek to focus on the topic from the context of Australia's challenges and opportunities.
HIT1091 - WEB DEVELOPMENT
To introduce the technology of the Internet and World Wide Web and to develop an understanding of the technologies associated with programming for the World Wide Web.
