Before I start this blog, I must say when blogging.. one of my major influences is Music… not so much the lyrics always but more so the way in which it illuminates thoughts and ideas through the simplicity of music (sounds and rhythms).
Irony can be viewed in many ways but most commonly verbally. Someone will state one thing yet mean another. (For those that don't know EG: as soft as concrete – this implies irony as how can concrete be soft?) So what I really want to talk about is how ironic it is that people change…
I’ve known many people over the years, some more then others and one thing which has always intrigued me is their stubbornness to declare they wont change or nothing could change them (who they are, what they do, or what they keep important in their life).
The ironic thing is we all change. Change is part of who we are and what we will become. I’ve changed… from last year, from 5 years and from since i was born. Not just meaning physically or dramatically – i have always been a Christian, I'm known as a “goody tissue” but none of them have changed. What has changed is my view on life, my appreciation of my elders and my maturity in having the common sense to understand the important things in life.
So in terms of my fascination of others is how people go about living their lives – in the mindset nothing will change – they wont change.. they fact is yes they will change.. but how that change will happen and evolve is another question. That's then their choice in what they will mould into…
The sad thing is.. its usually the really good ones which chose to let change take them to the deepest and darkest places…
I’ve seen it happen, I have lost friends over it – that changed me.. but I controlled the change… I allowed it to build me (with the help of The Lord of course).
What I am trying to get at is, we all have things in our life which will prompt change.. some are bigger then others… but how will you control the change?
Will you let it build you and grow you… or will fall into the easy path which shall surely become a burden in your life…
So the ironic thing is: (QUOTE)
“The more we deny change, the reality is, change is here to stay.” – Chris Furlong
VERSE: The Ironies of Life – Ecclesiastes 10:5…
“Wise words bring approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words”. - Ecclesiastes 10:12

- The Pyramid to Perfection (Chris Furlong)
How true this is Chris. One thing I have found though is the people that are not willing to change are the ones who expect other people to change.
ReplyDeleteLife can be as hard as you let it or as soft as you make it, change is important.
Change also helps you with the way you perceive life and this reflects on how you live life.
As the change progresses the view on God changes. He becomes more real to you in your life and this is only because you have allowed Him to change you.
Lastly when people see the change in you for the better people will want to interact with you. If you continue to stay the same and are not willing to move forward in life then this makes it hard to either keep friends or make friends.
God bless
Ps Tom Rawls used to to say. CONSTANT CHANGE IS HERE TO STAY...! DADDIO
